Licence to Practice (LTP) Renewal

  • What is a Licence to Practice renewal?

Candidates must renew their Licence to Practice every three years after first completing the course. They will need to take the renewal within 3 months of their LTP expiring or they will have to retake the entire course again. The Licence to Practice is important to hold as it covers the essential skills required for anyone who carries out cleaning tasks.

  • What are the training aims?

To re-enforce the principles of the Licence To Practice (LTP) ensuring the operative has a clear understanding of the health and safety requirements (risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Standard Operating Procedure), safe use and care of manual and mechanical equipment, chemical competency and robust cleaning store housekeeping to enable the operative to undertake their role safely, effectively and efficiently.

  • Assessment

The course is split into segments comprising a mix of presentations and video demonstrations. In order for a candidate to successfully renew their LTP, they must complete and pass the multiple choice assessment at the end of the course.
